In my ongoing quest to compile the largest collection of plaid-encased paperback copies of Lisa Birnbach's 1980 classic and now out-of-print Official Preppy Handbook, I am proud to say that I recently discovered two copies this past weekend, one in Topeka, Kansas and one in Lawrence, Kansas. Both were discovered in the Humor section at a library booksale for under $1, although they have been known to be found in Sociology, History, Literature, Cooking, and Miscellaneous as well.
